During the afternoon of Saturday 21st July SWM, the regions leading waste and recycling company held a fund raising company barbecue in aid of CLIC Sargent North Devon.

The SWM directors provided the venue at the Roundswell Head Office together with live music and refreshments. Staff from South Molton Metals, South West Metals and Waste Recycling and Kirton Recycling were all invited.

The event was well attended and blessed with great weather. Everyone was able to enjoy the sunshine, the music and dancing to Terry Bond and a hog roast purchased and served up by local butchers Grattons of Barnstaple.

Commenting on the event SWM Director Shawn Akers said “It’s was a pleasure to be able to raise money for our nominated company charity as well as provide an opportunity to thank our loyal staff for their continued support and hard work. We really do have a fabulous team”.

“There has been a lot of bad news over recent weeks, with heavy rain and the cancellation of the North Devon Show. So it was great to see the sunshine and have a more positive outlook.”
